Some unusual pictures to enliven your day!

Sometimes it is fun to just look at something different. So have fun!

Here is one to look at, I am sorry, I have NO Idea where this originated, but it is interesting:

What do you think? Is this the same? Thunderbird in Oklahoma was bigger than a man; it came out before thunderstorms. Did gunfire startle it up, like a storm would? Image from Pixabay.

howdy sir smithlabs! love this post! yes the Native Americans talk about dinosaurs and have ancient drawings of them, Dr. Carl Baugh in Glen Rose Texas talks alot about this and there is a museum there but he says they lived here quite recently but I don't think anyone knew that it was THAT recent, I wonder what happened to those things, surely someone took them to museums?

Out on the frontier, no transportation, and they didn't understand the importance back then. But it is an interesting possibility! :)

There is a park, an hour south of Dallas, that allows you to walk in a stream bed, now stone, in dinosaur footprints.

In the same mud turned to stone, are Human footprints, suggesting that the smaller was hunting the larger!

:O

I know, that's Glen Rose Tx and then Dr. Baugh has his museum in Glen Rose also. I want to get down there and visit that place.

I have been there, and It is worth the drive! I want to go back and get some pictures of the footprints, both sets, ROFLOL!

:)

it is tremendous and undeniable proof but most of science choose to ignore it don't they?

Yes, it is not politically correct, but it IS set in stone, quite literally!

:D

hahaha! very good sir smithlabs, very good indeed!

My kids enjoyed putting their feet in the people foot prints. I noticed that they fit them better than they did me. It is unsettling that cavemen the size of my children; were hunting animals as tall as my House, with clubs and spears!

They were obviously a lot tougher than I am!

:D

Interesting. At first I thought those two prehistoric critters were pterodactyls. If you look at the eye socket on each, the one on top is set down on the face and forward of the backward protrusion. In the bottom photo it is higher up on the head and almost part of the protrusion. The beak on bottom is also thicker and curves on the end.

Strange stuff!

I would give a farthing to know the real story behind the photos.

I would too, that is why I posted it, it makes me stop and think! :D

The tension in the wings where they are holding it up argues against a photo shopped picture. The guy holding the dog's head argues that something behind is Not familiar to the dog.

The one with the bent beak is interesting in that why would you make one that had such an obvious (birth?) defect? Would that possibly explain the difference in eye position too?

One of the ways a small population would fade out is from inbreeding until the defects rendered the eggs sterile. Are we seeing an extinction event? :(

I was wondering that, too. It would have to be a very small group to have been undetected and probably not two species, meaning an inbred group.

Holding a bat's wings forward will stretch the membrane pretty tight and that's another thing that makes it convincing. It's a very good model, assuming it is one.

Photoshop is always suspected, of course.

Seeing a photo of Santa Claus does not change my mind, being the skeptic I am.

I remember way back when they found the Coelacanth that was thought to be extinct. Big surprise, but that's more likely in the ocean than for a pterodactyl in flight. Someone would have noticed.

Most photo shopped pictures show it, but I don't see the normal tell tales on this one. If this was on the expansion west time frame, there are Legends here of the Thunderbird, which was a giant bird that flew before a storm.

If these things came out at dark, as their wing structure suggests, this would fit. If the thunderstorms flushed them out to run for cover. This could be the sightings we are wondering about....

:)

Agreed that it would be a first class photoshop job and would likely have had to be a very good model of the critter.

I did a google image search on the top photo and came up with a lot of links; some with references to background, including those about the Thunderbird. Still nothing concrete about the photo's origin.

Curious stuff.

This one is a quandary for sure. I would have dismissed this except for the Thunderbird legend. The Oklahoma military division is called the Thunderbirds....

Because of this, I have to assume there was an original source for this legend. I can Not think of a better fit to make this legend take root. So this, more than the picture, lends credence to the possibility for these beasts to be here in the not to distant time frame.

:)

That photo is the kind of artifact that the experts look at, develop a scowl and then pure disdain, and then toss it in the "I can't explain this one" file labeled HOAX.

Out history is full of those anomalies that likely carry far more truth about the past than many of the accepted versions supported by academia.

No one wants to admit that most of what they learned was just flatly wrong and/or incomplete.

Agreed, and these days they teach revised History, if anything! We need to start over on education, and make it work again!

BUT, the Thunderbird legends would explain this picture, perfectly!

:)

Pretty interesting and intriguing.

Thanks, It is fun to post things that make me stop and think!

In the hopes that they make others do the same thing! This is just enough data to be tasty, LOL! :)

Interesting. The video was too. The ghostly ones were creepy. Makes ya wanna look behind ya!

Yes, those are creepy, not to worried about the spacemen though, too obviously photo shopped, LOL!

:)

Yes unusual picture to enliven

It does make you wonder. Too many details in the picture that they would not have known back then.

From what I have seen this is not the case. The primary thing on the picture I have a question about, is why the dog is okay with this; and not looking over his shoulder.

:O

Oh my! I did not notice there.. that is weird alright!!

Yeah something is creepy!

The guy is holding his head forward, so it may be okay. I was told this was a degerrotype picture, that was an emulsion on metal.

Ooh really.. where did you get this?

Not sure where the picture came from, I found this several years ago.

Well its a good thing you still have it..

I just put it on my hard drive a long time ago, because it was interesting. :)
