The last Sunday of every month in Tulsa, is dedicated to feeding the homeless here a Hot meal.
We fed 250 people today, for a surprising reason. We usually have 300, but today there was competition....
Others have been using our ministry, to access the homeless; to give them stuff.
Today, since the weather was nice, we had more small ministries than ever before. We set up, with permission, on a parking lit that us one block long, and half a block wide.
I noticed today that the follow on ministries also filled the lot to the north, so today they covered two blocks by a half block wide. They have never crossed the street before, so it was surprising to see them a full two blocks north!
In spite of the competition, we had a lot of happy customers! We give out heavy, hot plates, and they pay us with smiles! We got a lot of smiles today....
All of our generators ran flawlessly today, and allowed us to keep all the food hot in the roasters.
A surprisingly good day, and nice to see the growth of loving people helping those in need!

h one is. They give out clothes and personal items. Some have toys for kids, one gives out toilet paper. Someone was giving out quick trip sandwiches.

We got lucky, it was 53 degrees, today it will hit19 degrees....
That was one reason so many showed up, it was pretty out there!
We fed over 6000 people last year. We feed weekly at the Denver house too, with donated food. Not as much work, but we average about 60 people there on Saturday afternoons.

Been doing that for years. But it is inside, using collected food. We are not setting up on a parking lot, and cooking everything.

The Denver house is three hours, the Homeless meal is two days of cooking.
Both help, but the homeless meal is 100% us, and the Denver house it comes from several different sources.
