Infrared GIMPS- Channel swapped and blended infrared photos of open field

in photography •  6 years ago

By blending my color swapped infrared image with its original, I get pinkish skies instead of the apocalypse red color. I used a 50% blend using the "difference" setting in the below photo. As I found the normal setting did not add much blue to the image. So doing the difference manually seems good.

Above is the normal blend, it looks too much like the channel swap source to me.

Using a hard blend you can see both, but does not very nice to me.

Everything looks some dream sequence of a movie. These colors are so wonderful that one can imagine them in dreams only.

@akdx

I know what you mean, I get the same feeling looking at the photos.. Maybe our third eye can see in infrared, so when we sleep we remember that world.. Just a guess.

Everything is possible.

Once more, these pictures look great. The color of the sky combined with the infrared shot.

Glad you like these more, I think you are right about what you said about the ones I posted a month ago. The ones that were just channel swaps and no blending they looked too jarring.

I think blending is the way to go.

True, blending really looks lit.

Wow....beautiful photo, is it a garden, I like the color of the purple sky. very unique. Nice shot👍
