Monstrosity or Man-Made Wonder?
I've been sitting on this photo for a couple of weeks, not sure which category it should be under, but I figure why not - Architectural?
This was shot across the Ap Lei Chau channel leading into Aberdeen. If you've ever seen Bruce Lee's 'Enter the Dragon', there's a scene at the beginning of the movie where he's on a sampan (small Chinese boat). This is approximately where that scene was shot.
Anyhow, the light was so good that day I was snapping away and when I checked the pics later on, this one stood out because of the structure of the buildings on the other side of the channel, resembling some kind of man-made mega mountain made completely out of concrete. I can imagine adrenalin junkies trying to climb it like a mountain, traversing from one block to another, and finally reaching the summit :)
Hence the name : Building Mountain

The light was so good, it made the scene look like a painting! Definitely deserves a resteem!
I really like the angle and the composition. You know, I usually prefer B&W, but for this I think I'd go with the color one. I really like the way the light hits the buildings, and the color of the sky against them was just so splendid. It really does look like a mountain, and even though I'm not a huge fan of cityscapes, this definitely passed with flying colors for me. Nice work with this! :D
