SteemitPhotoChallenge Entry - Zorro and Maya - 2 Huskies

in photography •  8 years ago  (edited)

Hey fellow steemians...steemychicken1 here...

I learned a little late the photocontest... and i am supposed to be a photographer by profession... :)

And simulltaneously a dog lover... I own 2 huskies.. and currenly they are living with another friend-colleague photographer, cause 9 months ago i had a baby girl... and the dogs didnt accept her yet.. So for the moment they live in my friends house, next to me.

Maya is on the left of the photo... a female, and the mother of the right guy.. Zoro...

Maya is 8 years old and Zoro is 6. They ve been living most of the time inside the house... And usually go outside in the yard.. during nightimes... Or they stay outside.. its 100% their desicion..

Maya is vere naughty... even now... Although she spent 2 summers in a dog training camp...

(segmentation fault core - dumped)

Zoro on the other hand, from his first day in life... was a very obedient and well mannered dog...You can even have him unleashed on a restaurant... and he will sit in a corner... waiting patiently...

If i do the same to Maya.. well, in 2-3 minutes there wont be a restaurant left...

I learned about the photocontest, and i decided to have my babies a photoshoot... Well to be honest i even forgot my NIKON d3 + 70-200 f2.8 non VR, and i didnt want to shoot with an iphone so i used my panasonic Fz1000.

Here are some samples from today... The dogs where insane from happiness.. i couldnt nail a single photo good  :) but there you go...

I ended up bitting that paper... damn!!!!

Maya decided it was too hot for her...

Zoro on the other hand... with that big hairy fur of his... avoids water... unless there is sea water... and a lot of sand involved... just to make my live harder washing him afterwards...

whaaaat a maaannn!!! i mean dog maaaan!!!

I think Zoro was a cat, in his previous life... i cannot explain it otherwise... He can climb almost everywhere...

And a greeting message to steemit from Zoro..

I left Maya for a second and she started running... hopefully i didnt forgot my keys, holding the steemit woof greeting...

That was it... i had to go for work... And Maya understood that we were going home.. and she started crying and refusing to walk... :) a snack saved me...

To be honest i didnt read the terms of the contest ... so after i came from work.. i saw that we need an animal portrait... So here it is... This is my photo for the contest... A photo from Zoro... liying down...doing what dogs do...

Taken with a Nikon D3, nikor lens, 70-200mm f2.8, non Vr. The old model... A little lightroom retouch... for the darks... And thats it...

Thanks you all... i hope you liked it...

Nice dog!

Thanks, in my eyes they look the most goodlooking ones...

You got two gorgeous friends here, shame that they cannot live with you for now. I always have a soft spot for dogs although I never own one. But if I do, it will definitely be husky.

Husky is one of the most beautiful breeds.
Especially I like their blue eyes and a beautiful color wool.

As someone who's first dog was a Siberian Husky named Sapphire, I definitely approve of this post. :)
