The next morning the town was abuzz with activity, and there could be seen all over Puno, Peru parade participants readying their beautiful costumes for the big parade. It was explained to us that the celebration was in recognition of the one year anniversary of their Merchants association. It was indeed popular. I think everyone that lived in the city was there.
The crowd gathers in the square, and along the parade path which winds throughout the city.
