Drone flight over Chocolate River - New Brunswick, Canada

The Petitcodiac River (informally known as the 'Chocolate River') is known for its muddy waters which feed into the Bay of Fundy on Canada's East Coast. The muddy waters are a result of sediment accumulation stemming from the construction of a causeway back in 1968. Despite efforts to restore the river as of 2010, the Petitcodiac is considered to be the most endangered river in Canada.

The below drone flight was shot on July 20, 2017 with a DJI Mavic Pro over the banks of the river where it passes through Moncton, New Brunswick. The river has lost much of its width due to the causeway construction in 1968, but has seen improvements since the opening of the causeway gates in 2010.

Despite the river's health, the muddy banks and accompanying marsh lands make for spectacular aerial photos as seen below.
