Flores de Puerto Vallarta

in photography •  3 years ago

Puerto Vallarta is full of some of the most beautiful flowers. Every street is painted with colorful trees, staircases are surrounded by bushes with florets in many hues and windows and walls are lined with embellished pots full of lively plants.

This is what I want to share with you in this smaller series. I want to show you part of what makes Puerto Vallarta so beautiful and alive, and that is its flores.

I was exploring around the golf course and I came across what I believe are great bougainvilleas, correct me if I'm wrong. The bougainvillea plant is native to Brazil, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina's Chubut Province. It's a popular ornamental plant. One thing I found interesting is that the Yanadi tribe in India used to use the leaves as a cure for diabetes.

There were only a couple bushes with only a few flowers on them. Unfortunately, the photos are coming off different than what they look like on my phone and not doing the flowers justice. I hope they look fine on your end. Nevertheless, they were lovely to come across on our little, random excursion.

Anyway, thanks for coming by! Don't forget to follow!
