Yes, I wood carve and I like to draw but my all time favorite pastime is photography. I love nature and the outdoors and being behind the camera is a perfect way to get me and keep me outside and active.
It took me awhile to learn how to stop action with fast moving subjects like the humming birds in my yard and then I learned that using a flash at the right moment will stop the action. Of coarse you need the right shutter speed and so on but for the most part master flash and you can stop the action up close. Here are some pics i snapped with this technique.

I know I'm an amateur photographer and still struggle at figuring what settings I should use in my camera now and again, but I was really happy with the results of these snaps. So if you're having trouble stopping the action get some tips on using a flash and give it a try. Thanks for reading my post.
