My uncle used to run one of these when I was growing up at his farm. He pull it with a small tractor, which I think in them days was a medium sized machine. He would seed corn or peas, that was the norm of selection for seeds with this high tech then seeder.
Many farmers used this machine to grow special crops in them days, peas and sweet corn were some cash crops that many people were paying good money.
