#4 The paradise on earth(Kashmir)

"Aharbal" is located in the southern part of Kashmir.
It is about 100km's from srinagar city.
Aharbal is famous for its beautiful waterfall.
River "veshaw" flows through Aharbal and its origin is a place called "Kounsernag".
"Nag means a lake in kashmiri.
I visited this place two days ago with my friend and we were lucky enough to go very near to the waterfall, normally people are not allowed be go near the waterfall.

This path leads to the famous waterfall of Aharbal.
You have to go downstairs and then along this path to reach the waterfall. There are around 200 stairs and then this 400 metre path which leads us to the "fall".
This path is special in a sense that water flows below it and it is a great feeling to walk over it.

I took this picture when we were on our way to the waterfall.
This river is narrow but it is very long and water flows at a great speed.
If someone drowns in this river, there are little chances of survival.
The water of this river is very cool and pure.

River veshaw is surrounded by thick forests on either sides.
We visited at the sunset and the place looked lovely at that time of the day.

I took this picture when we were coming back from the waterfall.
We spent about an hour there before heading back home.
Aharbal is being developed to attract more tourists but I tell you, this place deserves a visit.
