Hanging around Tokyo in February 2011.

After graduating university in 2010 had a terrible time finding work in the terrible job market. So I decided to go work in Japan. Before my work contract fully started I spent a month in the Tokyo and Chiba area. Staying with friends made it my trip a lot cheaper. I think most of these images were from that time. The image above was taken in Harajuku.

So here are some photos that survived the years.

Need to be safe whilst riding the trains. Seen in a station somewhere in Tokyo.

A busy street leading out of Harajuku.

Walking down which I think was cat street (Not sure what of the name if anyone wants to correct me.) with some nice lighting.

Ever wondered how ramen noodles are delivered without any spills? Ingenious bike add one keeps it level.

Managed to get an alright pic of the Thunder gate at Asakusa shrine/temple

Some older train models sitting at a train yard in the Chiba Makuhari area

A temple dragon fountain, Seen a few of these across the country.

Write your wishes and good luck stuff on here/

I found some nice looking lanterns hanging out

Some delicious takoyaki balls I tried, picture I took doesn't do it justice.

On the train to Tokyo from Chiba took this image through the window.

In Ikebukuro there is an interesting building selling electronics and phones.

Some street art.

Got to get that Shibuya crossing photo.

Yakiniku restaurant sign amused us.

Got to keep your screens clean, don't mind the lube.
