Graffiti is any form of writing or drawing which is wrongly made on a property which can be both public or private. Although many people will argue that it is a form of art and it should not be a crime because it is a way of expressing oneself.I would discuss why it should be banned.

Graffiti Promotes Crime

Some graffiti show specific text or images which promote crime.Imagine someone looking at the image like ten times a day, it would definitely affect the person's unconscious mind.It would encourage them to go rouge against the authority especially if they are not satisfied with there performance.

Graffiti is used to divide the society

In a normal society, people from all cultures and races live together in harmony.Racist graffiti is used by certain elements who want to create unrest to divide the society and increase hatred among the fellow human beings. This may result in violence among people.

Anti Religion Graffiti

All religions of the world no matter how different there beliefs are, teach human beings a way of life. They teach how to live together in a society. Some people believe in religion while some don't.I believe that this is a personal matter and everyone is free to follow whatever they think right.Antireligion graffiti definitely hurt the feelings of some members of our society.

Graffiti is used to spread Terror

Terrorist groups may use graffiti to instill fear amongst the local population. They may describe the consequences of not following their orders. Not only terrorists but different gangs may also use for a similar purpose.

Graffiti exploits emotions

Everybody in this world is fighting their own battle. Some graffiti portray explicit pictures, for example, people committing suicide.Looking at such pictures every day would affect the person's unconscious mind. Now imagine if the person is going through really tough times and commits suicide.Imagine the amount of emotional pain the person's family has to go through. So graffiti portraying negative message can affect and change lives of some people forever.

Nudity and sex in Graffiti

()

I believe that sex is a very natural thing. We came into this world due to this act, therefore, we cannot deny it's importance. However, there is a time for everything. Some graffiti clearly expose sexual acts and homosexuality openly in public.I believe it is not right because how would I respond to a five-year-old if she asks me what the people on the wall are doing. The views may vary depending on the norms of different societies but honestly, I would not like such an image on a wall next to my house.

Waste of money

Millions of dollars are spent every year to clean graffiti, which could have been spent on something more valuable for the society, so in the end, the people of the society lose.

In the end, I would like to conclude that if graffiti really is an art it should be framed and displayed in a gallery rather than on someone's property. I believe that negative effects of graffiti are far more as compared to the argument that it is a form of art.It should be banned and any offenders should be punished. All forms of graffiti should be removed.

Freedom of expression, free speech and morality, dignity, self respect are two different things. A place of country with no vandalised tags etc. almost feels boring and scary. Like Dubai.
