I played around with a few macro shots of the tulips that had seen better days while my daughter ate her lunch. I am glad that we taught her to eat by herself very young and she is very good at it as it gives me a few minutes to get some other things done, unless she decides, "I need Daddy to feed me".
Today However, she was happy to eat.
These were taken with the new (used) macro lens and I got a few weeks ago and an extension ring so I could get a little closer. I also decided to try a flash with it for the first time because when the weather warms up, I plan on heading out into the forest and finding some creepy crawlies to photograph.
These are all unedited other than the crop down to 16:9 which I do because I think it feels nicer to scroll through for the viewer, even though the image could lose something in the process. As said, these flowers are on their last legs but with the flash and some careful positioning, I tried to make them look a little fresher than they actually are which wasn't an easy task but, fun to try. I should have probably taken an image of the entire bunch to show just how far gone they are.
But, I see photography as a bit of an exploration of conditions rather than trying to get the perfect shot as sometimes the best shot possible is not so great however, the process to get that not so great shot could be perfect. For example, I like to shoot cities in the rain as to me, there is a lot more of interest in the image mood-wise and one has to work a little harder and be a little more uncomfortable to get the shot. This means that it excludes all those who aren't willing to get their hair wet which reduces the amount of similar images. In some way, it is something like a scarcity value, even if just in my head.
There are games to be played in everything we do and most of the games we ever play in this world have no competitor other than ourselves. What I have discovered throughout my life is that I am the single biggest obstacle to accomplishing what I need or want to complete regardless of how many other people or conditions are against me. This is a personal view of mine regardless of what conditions others face and lay blame upon. As I see it, we are dealt a hand and that hand changes over time but, we must always play the cards we hold.
The image directly above is one of my favorite images from the set as it feels like it is a peak into a piece of the flower that shouldn't be focused on, kind of like it has been caught getting up to no good. Weird little story I know but for me, images all hold varying stories depending on how I look at them and how I feel at the time. They are much like songs that evoke emotions and with a few words can become a dynasty of thought that evolves over time.
I was asked how I write so much each day and still have time to fit in all the other things that I have to do and the trick is, don't get in the way of yourself. Most people try to force themselves through topics and spend time trying to craft each word, when they will get better results from having a starting point and then spiraling their thoughts into the post until once they are finished, go back and clean it up, if required. It can take practice to develop thoughts quickly but it is something that has a lot of real world value to draw upon and can be applied to many, if not all areas where thought is required.
Flow in thought is a skill all can have but most are looking for perfect conditions - They don't exist so;
Play the hand you hold.

Yeah, I really enjoy it and with macro, I don't have to go afar afield to enter into different worlds. I would one day love to get some really dramatic landscapes but, macro gives some drama closer to home.

What else can we do except play the cards we are dealt? I can't even imagine trying to live a life battling my way through. Some cards are really tough ones, but getting to that place of acceptance is such a joy. Just realizing that, oh, THIS is my life now. What can I make of this?
These are all incredible photos! Every one. I'm resteeming this!

On that I would have to agree. I saw it looked at it for a bit then read your words about it. It held my attention the most, I think because it is a little bit like life, a little fuzzy full of color, and not perfect. It was not really a 'snap shot of life' more of a statement of life.

Well written @tarazkp ...
... as this was exactly where I found myself trying to capture images for my recent "road to recovery" posts.
Agreed. Brings to mind one of the single best quotes ever - the famous quote of Charles Swindoll on our all-important attitudes.
For what it is worth, as I am big on "key words," the word "inspiration" in your title is what caught my eye and brought me by.
Thanks for another thought provoking post! It provided some inspiration ... 👍

I was talking to Asher (@abh12345) about titles and how bad I am at them for the general internet public. Mine are to obtuse for most to click through :D

There are actualy some pretty interesting things that can be done like reversing a lens and making it a macro or, putting a drop of water over the camera of a phone, try it and see what turns out, you might be surprised by the effect :)

Captivating pictures....
I believe that most of the best shots are captured in those carefree moments.
This posts is filled with splashes of inspiration

Carefree in some ways but in other ways, mindful of the conditions and what is necessary in the moment is important. Sometimes point and click works, not always though. Regardless of camera quality though, anyone can play and get something decent.

Previously, I thought of having a perfect series of post on my account and ending up not able to write that often which is a total discouragement. Rather than limiting myself and expecting the unrealistic outcome, I’m now open to a more fluid and open topic for my writing. Just follow the flow and make sure I could produce content daily. Content can be improve from time to time but the habit to write daily and able to process my thoughts into words are the key to be consistent.
By the way, love the macros! They are marvelous.

THis is what I am looking for too, even though mine have never been close to perfect :)
The consistency essentially drives the brain to keep going, rain or shine. THere is a lot of rain in life, best to be able to work in it.

One of the main reasons why I do poetry more these days, the words just seem to come unlike an actual write-up
