What is your idea of fun or relaxing on a weekend
I used to like going out to the local bars and listening to music from local bands and having a beer or 8 on a Friday or Saturday night and often both, but with some health issues for both myself and my wife we don't go out to bars anymore.
So these days my idea of fun is getting out for a walk around one of the parks or as I did this evening walking the beaches or boardwalk.
This is a shot from my walk this evening along the boardwalk, I wasn't expecting much of a sunset as there was a lot of dark clouds and was concentrating of trying to get a 4 mile walk in to meet my goal of five miles a day.
Luckily I was carrying both my camera bag and tripod as I walked as I turned to look back as I was walking and saw the colors in the sky and had to get a shot.
Well thats my fun Saturday evening :)

Incredible photo, Jay! Your modern day idea of a fun/relaxing weekend is perfect! We always have at least one day out the weekend with a family function, normally Sunday. In the evenings we like to watching a movie either at home or at the theater. That's not to say it's no longer fun to go out and hear some live music, grab a bite and have a beverage every now and then. Daytrips and short getaways are fun to do to. Are we celebrating a special occasion or just an enjoyable meal? We're having a triple birthday celebration at my in-laws: my son turned 18 yesterday, my father in law's bday is tomorrow and my husband's on Monday (and a nephew's is Tuesday, but he lives in NC)

I have to admit when I got there, the clouds were so dark and dramatic, I almost left my camera bag in the car, but decided just in case to carry my bag and tripod, when I saw this I was glad I did :)

However as a poker pro the weekends are often the days of the week I work a lot... :s
