Lightning in the distance

At the conclusion of an incredible evening spent with friends (see previous post), a thunderstorm came with a dash of lightning.

Technical info: The photo of the lightning was a 4 second exposure. Lightning requires getting your shot lined up and then taking a series of exposures. I prefer keeping exposures less than 10 seconds.
