I sold my first photo art project today

A friend of mine was visiting today, her and her son drove from our hometown 30 minutes away to visit, not many people come and visit since we moved out of town. It was nice to see an old friend and to hang out for a while. I was showing her Steemit and telling her about the projects I am doing when I showed her a post I did about preparing for YART. You can find it here https://steemit.com/art/@tecnosgirl/preparing-for-yart-a-yard-sale-for-art

When she saw these 4 photos

And saw they were magnets, and placed a claim on them. We then left for a while and went over to the property my husband and I bought and I showed her the land.

When we got back the mail had ran and there was three orange shutterfly packages sitting on my computer, and in one of the packages was the magnets. I used a free coupon code to make them and paid $2 for shipping and tax on the magnets and sold them for $5 for the set. I am really excited that someone wanted to buy my pictures. I know it was only a $3 profit and it was one sale, but I am still excited because it is gonna be the first of many.

Wow, so cool. So nice to connect with people from so far away! @tecnosgirl

Excellent! It's great when someone validates your work by paying for your pics. The great thing is you can make more.

Congrats. It good work don’t be surprised :)

There will definitely be more to come - super!

That's wonderful! Congrats!

thanks I am excited about it, might only be $3 profit but it is profit and someone wanted to buy them, and that is awesome.

Just the feeling of being wanted is priceless!!! You're really coming into your own!!!

Not that my kids don't matter they do, but with them growing up I get to focus a little on me again.

And that's perfectly-okay, because it's not only good for you but, also, for them, as you have a more rested-and-personally-fulfilled self to bring into the time you spend with them as well, which makes it a happier time for all of you.

Keep up the wonderful work!!! You might even end up as faculty at Midwest Writers Workshop one of these times just like the late, great Bill Thomas. I wonder if they still even have Midwest Writers Workshop...

I have no clue google it and find out

I plan to before long...I went there back in 1977, and I had a blast! I'm still in touch with a couple of people who were there that same year.
