This island is the original habitat of komodo animals, a kind of giant meat-eating lizard. On the island of Komodo there are more than 2,000 tailed dragons living in the wild. You can see the dragons who are prey on their prey in many locations in this place. It's important to walk around with a guide for safety reasons while you're here.

In 1986, UNESCO established Komodo Island and other islands in the Komodo National Park as a world heritage site because of the existence of Komodo dragons that can only be found in this region. The habitat of this endangered animal is the outdoors with grasslands, white sandy beaches and tropical rainforests.

Komodo Island won the award as New Seven Wonders of Nature which is a tribute to the seven best natural attractions in the world. Determination of the winners is obtained from the results of voting and research experts, Komodo Island won the highest voting along with six other attractions namely Iguazu Waterfall, Amazon Forest, Puerto Princesa River Basin, Halong Bay, Jeju Island and Table Mountain.

Komodo itself is a kind of reptile animal giant meat-eating lizard that can reach 2 - 3 meters long with a weight of 100-165 kg. This animal has the scientific name of Varanus Komodoensis, while locals call this animal the name 'Ora'. If seen, dragons are scary, with a large body, sharp nails, scaly skin and has a double-branched tongue that always sticking out. The main dragons of dragons are pigs, horses, deer, ferrets, buffalo and monkeys.

Pulau ini merupakan habitat asli binatang komodo, sejenis kadal raksasa pemakan daging. Di Pulau Komodo terdapat lebih dari 2.000 ekor komodo yang hidup di alam bebas. Anda bisa melihat komodo yang sedang mengincar mangsanya di banyak lokasi di tempat ini. Sangat penting untuk berkeliling bersama pemandu untuk alasan keselamatan selama berada di sini.

Pada tahun 1986, UNESCO menetapkan Pulau Komodo dan pulau-pulau lain di kawasan Taman Nasional Komodo sebagai situs warisan dunia karena keberadaan komodo yang hanya bisa ditemui di kawasan ini. Habitat dari hewan yang terancam punah ini adalah alam terbuka dengan padang rumput, pantai berpasir putih dan hutan hujan tropis.

Pulau Komodo meraih penghargaan sebagai New Seven Wonders of Nature yang merupakan penghargaan untuk tujuh tempat wisata alam terbaik di dunia. Penentuan pemenang diperoleh dari hasil voting dan penelitian para ahli, pulau Komodo berhasil meraih voting tertinggi bersama enam tempat wisata lainnya yaitu Air Terjun Iguazu, Hutan Amazon, Sungai Bawah Tanah Puerto Princesa, Teluk Halong, Pulau Jeju dan Table Mountain.

Komodo sendiri merupakan binatang reptil sejenis kadal raksasa pemakan daging yang panjangnya bisa mencapai 2 – 3 meter dengan berat 100 – 165 kg. Binatang ini memiliki nama ilmiah Varanus Komodoensis, sedangkan warga setempat menyebut binatang ini dengan nama ‘Ora’. Jika dilihat, komodo memang menyeramkan, dengan badan yang besar, kuku yang tajam, kulit yang bersisik dan memiliki lidah bercabang dua yang selalu menjulur. Mangsa utama komodo adalah babi, kuda, rusa, musang, kerbau dan beruk.

Cool, so were you able to charter boats between the islands and hop between them with relative ease? Or were you mostly based upon the main island of Komodo? (sorry for the 20 questions! I'm just eager to try myself sometime)
