120 year old antique Victorian accordion in need of tlc

in photography •  7 years ago

I came across this Victorian accordion in an antique shop in Warwick this weekend.

A quick Google search revealed it was made no later than 1912, when this model was last produced by the manufacturers. It's birthday could be as early as 1887, which would put it somewhere in the region of 105-120 years old.

I'm hoping a friend of mine will be up for restoring it. Hopefully I'll be able to use some of the money this post makes to pay them!

If this post proves popular I'll post an update on its progress.

I love it I loves accordions my brother played his at my wedding it was beautiful! I love old things and would wonder how many people played that one and for what events so cool! 😎

Thanks! Yes, I wonder. It has a nautical insignia, suggesting a connection with the navy. I'd love to know.

Oh that's wonderful imagine the history!
