Introducing myself... thePhotoGuide!

So who am I to tell you anything about photography?
It started for me back in 2004 getting my first digital camera and after majoring in Photojournalism years later it was really time for me to explore the vast world of photography. Photography is a thing of two worlds, creativity and technical knowledge. The one cannot work without the other. Some things can be taught, some can be trained. I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge and teaching people about the wonders of photography through my own work.

Most importantly...creativity should always come first! You can find tons of books and blogs on photography anywhere but those mostly focus too much on the technical aspect. I want to simplify the techniques as much as possible to make it understandable for any reader who comes across my posts.

I want to focus my account on two things:
- My own work, including photos of my roadtrip in the U.S.A. and my recent trip to Japan.
- Articles on how the camera works, which lens to choose, how to find the correct settings etc.

Well, I think that's enough introduction for now... I'll just let a few of my own photos do the rest of the talking...enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed and I'm looking forward to seeing you again!

Welcome, welcome, Photoguide,

My name is Nicholas Black

Welcome us all, both old and new to this place of sharing and treasure. Well, that's how it was explained to me anyway! welcome aboard and if you get a minute, take a look at my mostly ridiculous, sometimes informative posts.

I'd love to see us all grow together, so if you feel so inclined, FOLLOW NICK and my silly antics and I'll do the same. Teamwork makes the dream work (an old coach in those way-too-tight shorts always said that before slapping us on the butt...which I think constitutes assault these days, but whatever.)

welcome ❤

and you've got some sexy photos :D

Thank you! i'm so happy to hear that :) I'll make sure more are coming this way!

Glad to see you!:)
