Jaffa | Israel

Heyy friends ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿปโค๏ธ

Today I want to tell you a bit about Jaffa. Also was known as Yafo, it is the ancient port city out of which Tel Aviv has now grown. Jaffa has, in recent years, like much of South Tel Aviv, been reinvigorated with the old narrow streets and courtyards becoming another highly desirable part of Tel Avivโ€™s urban tapestry. You will adore wandering around Jaffaโ€™s winding alleyways filled with historic stone buildings, art galleries, mosques, churches, and the Port. One of my favorite things about this beautiful ancient city is the doors. Each one is so unique and different.

Hope you enjoy my photos!! Please leave feedback, negative/positive :)

The Great Jaffa Mosque or Mahmoudia Mosque. It was restored in 1820 by Mahmoud Abu-Nabut, the local Ottoman ruler who rebuilt Jaffa that we see today after Napoleon destroyed the city.

The detailing on the door and arch are just magical.

I absolutely love this blue color that is all over Jaffa, and the pigeons lined up on top just right, made for a perfect shot.

The habibis and I ๐Ÿ˜Š We ended up going on a photography tour.

We ended our tour with some delicious shakshuka at Dr. Shakshuka.

They included this incredible soft loaf of bread and pickled veggies to go with the shakshuka. So so good! ๐Ÿคค
