Welcome to the 8th episode of MyPictureSunday! Finally dreams become true. For months I was looking to get a new camera but unfortunately it didn't turn out to be easy. First of all: What camera do you want? How much do you want to pay? What lens etc.
All my recent photographs were shot with an iPhone 5S. It makes nice shots but I wanted more. I wanted to show YOU more. I decided to spent some money and buy a new Nikon D750.
Simply because I want to give something back to this wonderful community. For the first time I really do enjoy to take pictures. I used to upload my pictures on google, Facebook, tumblr, flickr etc. but no platform gave me this feeling as Steemit does. No community was able to achieve what you were able to do! As we continue to grow I realize that this is the place I want to be.
I started to travel more in order to show you the beauty of Europe. Starting with Vienna, Paris, Munich, London and Hamburg there are many other cities in Europe coming.
Today I wanted to play around with some settings. It's been a while I used such an advanced camera. I need some time to get used to it. So expect more in the near future!

I used to have a Canon 5D Mark II. I knew I will stick to fullframe. I made some research and found out that the D750 has the best quality in this price range

Congratulations on getting a d750! I love that camera, I work with it as well. I love how light it is, how fast and how well it performs in low light conditions. I don't make personal work often though, unfortunately.
What's your favorite lens? I love shooting with my 35mm 1.4 and 70-200mm 2.8. When I travel I usually just take the 35mm, 70-200 is way too heavy ;)

Even if you don't have a great camera, you can take wonderful pictures with even just a cellphone camera. The camera is just an instrument. It's really the photographer that creates the image with a understanding of lighting, composition, post processing, etc.

Great post! I love the images you shared, and can TOTALLY relate to the struggles of upgrading to a new camera. I currently have the Canon Rebel T5, and have been making a never ending lists of pros and cons to each camera I'm considering. I have had my eye on the Canon 5D Mark IV for a while... it's just pretty spendy for me at the moment. I did just get a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens in the mail yesterday though! Itching to use it at a portrait shoot I have this evening. I'll have to participate in one of your contests sometime, thanks for a great post!
