Wow just amazing to see so many great shots of dragon fly's, and taken so closely together :-)

Double bonus the shots are first class too. Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome, @niko3d! And thank you in return for your kind words! 😊

Its funny that I found this post, i know its a day later but this morning i saw a ton of dragonflies on my walk. They get huge around here in NC, i took a pic of one this morning that was prolly close to 5" long! Unfortunately the picture didn't have anything in it to express the size but i swear it is the biggest one i ever saw!

Wow, @moderndayhippie! That's awesomely cool and serendipitous! Thanks for sharing that. 😊

Lovely photos! 😍
They're cute little things. They look like something from Marvel and should have a super power of some sort lol

They TOTALLY do, @letsgetquirky! LOL! 😂

And thanks so much! 😊

Wow! Awesomeness! Those guys look like the were showing off for you!

I think they were, Roger - I get the feeling they like how many mosquitoes I attract when I'm outside, and they were trying to keep me out there longer...LOL!

Right around dusk in Florida, the dragonflies would swarm in. They would fly out after the had their fill of mosquitoes. Once they left, the mosquitoes would attack!

That's wicked cool, Roger! Now I gotta figure out how to keep the dragonflies around all the time - LOL!

When I took the dogs down to the dog park this evening, the dragonflies started swarming! I thought of you! Then I thought it's time to head home before the mosquitoes attack!

Good thinking, Roger! 😊

Wow!!!
That's what I'd call Dragonflies Invasion.
Nice shots @traciyork

It was a wicked cool invasion, @abbiephoto! And thanks!

Hello,

Very detailed post. Dragon flies look so out of this planet. Like much of nature it is surprising to discover new details and see how full of diversity our planet is.

Have a great day! Upvoted and Followed!

Thanks so much, @algenisfig!

I always like the look of dragonflies and I think I saw one in person, but not fully sure. Grasshoppers were more common especially in my childhood.

I don't recall ever seeing a dragonfly up close as a kid, but grasshoppers were common too. I'm getting spoiled now since we moved to this property. 😊

I usually only noticed dragonflies near lake. Do you have a pond at your backyard to attract them? Nice clear photographs of them indeed!

No pond, @delegate4upvot, but lots of little streams and brooks. Thanks so much - appreciate you dropping by! 😊

I love dragonflies! These photos are so good! Bravo, lady! 😊

Thanks so much, dearest @thekittygirl! 💜

These shots are awesome! I love dragonflies and they are soooo hard to capture. Thanks for mentioning PicMonkey. I am looking for something to replace Picasa as I'm now finding a bit limiting, but I'm finding Gimp a bit too complicated. Going to look into it. Happy weekend!

PicMonkey is awesome, @fionasfavourites! I used the free version for ages, but then the eldest wanted to get a subscription. However, I think pretty much everything I use is still just the free version stuff - LOL! And thank you so much - they are wicked hard to capture, but I've been very lucky. Hope you are having a happy weekend too!

I Will check it out when we are back home and I come down to earth. I am quite excited about it!

Coolness! Be sure to shout out if you have any questions - I'll just be over here, jealous of the dinner you and @jaynie had! 😊

Lovey insects are dragonflies ...... @traciyork it appears to I that you too are starting to feel a bit of Steemit fatigue...based on your lower level of activity.

That they are, @themagus. And it's more like online fatigue, not just Steemit, coupled with the fact that I've been spending more time doing things away from my desk (now that I'm practically normal again). However, I'm trying to get myself into a routine, so be warned - I might just be annoyingly present more often... 😂

your presence is far from annoying ..... {smile}
