3 weeks ago I visited Ireland and discovered in Northern Ireland this magnificent natural phenomenon.
It is Giant´s Causeway and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Consists of approximately 40.000 shaped basalt columns, up 15 meters high.
To stand unbelievably in front of all the thousands of pillars, or to walk on them from pillar to pillar. I have never seen such a large field of these pillars before. I know them from Iceland and Armenia, but this in Ireland is something special.
The basalt dam should be located by cooling hot lava.
That is absolutely amazing!
