Life in Frames: I

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

I'm going to try and post at least one photo a day from my personal collection. This is the first of many, and is one of my personal favorites. Don't hesitate to ask questions about what camera/lenses I use, which software I like, or to give me any negative or positive feedback. I'm also willing to give backstory on any photo I post if you're interested in how the image came to be.

As always, thank you, and I hope you're fantastic.

That boche though.

That 50mm makes everything in focus nice and crispy while blowing anything else out. By far one of my favorite lenses and affordable for anyone.

Hell yeah man! I have a Lumix G85 I use for video! The 50mm I used at a wedding... #beautiful I didn't know you had passion or at least did some photography. Good stuff!

Ah the classic "Nifty Fifty" I need to send mine to get repaired. doesn't focus properly

@preownedwombat - Definitely get that 50 fixed, especially for photography. It makes life so easy, and in low-light situations it is an absolute must have.

Yeah, @gattisstatus I'm more into shooting/editing video as well, but photos are easier and the opportunity to take them definitely presents itself more. I'm using a Canon 80D myself. What kind of videos do you make?

Nice heck yeah. Do you use Premiere or Final Cut? I've done some advertising for DJ's and a couple weddings. I'm doing a wedding in south Florida in May and might have one later this month as well. I'm down for just about anything I like the creativeness of seeing a vision and making it happen.

I use Premiere Pro and After Effects. I'm a total sucker for Adobe software, and haven't really had any reason to switch. Yeah, I'm definitely the same way about just wanting to do anything, but I'm definitely picky about how much time I'm willing to sink into a project if it isn't creatively satisfying, or alternatively financially satisfying. I've thought about doing weddings, but I feel like if I go down the road of doing gigs with my camera, it will lose it's appeal when it starts to feel like work, and not like a creative output.

If you do weddings just tell them to give you the creative freedom for audio and video... You can ask the type of music they want so they aren't worried about you putting something crazy in there. But usually they are okay with it as long as they have seen previous work. Wedding pay good don't get me wrong and if you have a game plan or a template it's actually not bad and kind of simple. But a paying gig is a paying gig lol.

How u get girl?
