My visit to Viseu, Portugal

Here I leave some photos from the little and pretty city of Viseu, in Portugal:

This is Hotel Montebelo, where I stayed during my visit. Excelent place to rest, with two swimming pools, one outside, one inside. There's also a sauna, a turkish bath and a jacuzzi. And the price? Not as expensive as you'd think. I've paid a lot more... for a lot less, in other places.

Near to the hotel, I found this lovely statue:

A few steps away, there was some kind of graffiti on a house, which I loved:

This is the statue of Viriato, one of the leaders of the Lusitanian Tribe that confronted the Romans in the Iberic Peninsulana. Viriato lived between 181 BC and 139 BC.

This is a view from one of the highest parts of the town. Those yellow lines in the ground are a funicular railway, a ride you can take to enjoy the views of the city:

And an older church. (We have lots and lots of churches in Portugal. There are more in the town, but I won't post them all here.)

A lovely traditional house. These were built to last and stand the test of time:

If you decide to visit this town, keep in mind it's a small place, so 3 or 4 days, at most, will be enough for you to experience it.
