I couldn't survive without a sense of humour. Keep on using the two combinations in your photography and in life and you will be very fulfilled.

Yes, humour is the key to a happy life.
Btw: what does one mindreader say to the other mindreader?
Great advice. Will need that in the following 70years on that planet! :-)
Cheers

I don't know. What does one mind reader say to the other mindreader? How I wish I had another 70 years ahead of me. I had no idea I was talking to someone so young. May every year of your next 70 be very fulfilling and fun! I've put my order in for another 30 years but that might be a little greedy of me. Quality is so much better than quantity when you've been on the planet as long as I have. (:

Haha just a silly "You are fine. How am I?"
I'm just optimistic. I'm 27 now, so if I reach 28 then I might just go all in and reach that 100;)
Thanks I will try to do that. Better have some good quality time than a lot of semiforfilling time.
I can certanly imagine but it is impressiv you are on Steemit. Another proov that age does not matter in some places. :)
I saw your wedding white in white contest entry and will comeback when my votingpower rises again:)

What do you mean "IF" you make it to 28????? Of course you will! Thank you for your encouragement re: my vintage. I've never let my age prevent me from giving things a go and enjoying new challenges. My husband and I gave up 2 very boring and unfulfilling jobs in our early 50's to travel to China and teach English to young students. We weren't actually the oldest teachers in our group but not far off. Age is just a number. Our lives were enriched on so many levels for taking the plunge and going to China. We stayed for a year .......and how I wish I had a decent camera then and had time to do a lot more sight seeing. A couple of our grandchildren are seriously considering joining steemit as they can see they potential.

Yeah of course I will but this is the dangerous age where a lot of people leave the earth. I'm halfway through already :)
Yes, never let the age hinder you from anything. This sounds like you two made the right decision. Why bire yourself with something you really don't like? I try the same with photography now. My dream is to at least do photography part time. I probably don't quit my job because i like being an engineer. It is the kind of creative work I would do as a hobby as well.
One years in China is a lot of fun I imagine. Sad you didn't took that many pictures. There are tons of great subjects and people aswell to capture.
This is great! Try to build a community with your grandchildren and friends. This should help grow everyone very fast. You can upvote then as a group and get probably more attention from the whole steemit community. Btw are you upvoting a lot?
I'll bet your grandchildren will like steemit. Just show them that it is waaaaaay better than Facebook and Reddit.
Cheers

I hope you realize your photography dream. Steemit is a great place to see other people's work and get inspiration from the ones who have excelled at photography. Speaking of grandchildren, my eldest grandson is studying to be an engineer and really loving it. Re: upvoting, I try and upvote 8-10 per day but my votes have very little value and I wonder if I'm better off not voting until I gain more power. I got carried away when I first started in steemit because I wanted to show everyone my appreciation for their work and support but I am still having bandwidth issues and I have to be very careful about doing too much in the course of a day. I do find all the information hard to absorb and I'd much rather do the posting and interacting, but I have to make more effort to understand the inner workings of steemit.

Me too, thanks for the encouragement! I hope you will do well too in the future.
Cool:) then he is a smart guy, huh? Engineering stuff is so creative that's why I like this job:)
It doesn't matter if it is not that strong. Any cent here will pay off in the future. Of course an $1 upvote is great but some $0.01 will get you there too:)
Yeah I have to be careful too with my upvotes but I still do a few a day and put some on my comments that I think should earn something. I vote on them after e few days. I think this seems less selfcentred, lol. Sometimes i upvote my comments right away to get the on top of the list.
It is really confusing here on steemit. I heard the best time to upvote is when the post is 15-30minutes old but that changes from time to time..:)

Oh thanks for that information @rheteric I accidentally upvoted one of my own posts a few days and still hadn't got around to finding out when and how often to upvote your own work. My votes don't have a lot of power yet and they fluctuate from 0.00 to 0.001 So until my votes have more influence it seems a waste of time. But you are right Every $0.01 upvote counts. Yes, my grandson is very bright and I'm sure he will do really well in his chosen career.
