Its been 2 years since i moved to this very interesting place called Mumbai, India.
Coming from a small city like Nagpur, Mumbai has been quite the eye opener about everything.
Firstly everyone in mumbai is always in a hurry. hurry or you'll miss the local train, get stuck in traffic, get late for work or to reach back home, hurry or else you'll have to suffer.
It is a city of contrasts, Where you'll find the richest people living a luxurious life and right next door to them lives someone in utter poverty barely able to make a living. You'll find old people giving a seat to youngsters who entered the local train before them. You'll see a complete stranger on the train everyday because you both take the same train everyday and you'll get a little worried to not see him one day. You'll find no space to walk on a weekdaysat a railway station and you'll find places where there are hardly any people around. You'll see posters for donation campaigns and you'll find a beggar there without any money. It surely puts everything in perspective.
But most importantly, the spirit of the people here never dies. They'll help a complete stranger out of tough situations. And when the whole city is in some kind of emergency you'll find everyone being there for others, however little or big their contribution.
I hate being in crowded places. I hate the inconvenience of travelling in locals. I hate that i have to travel away to find peace. But i love the spirit of the city that keeps going no matter what.
