It is still very hot during the day. I measured 29 degrees Celsius yesterday at noon. Last night, however, it was 9 degrees Celsius. So we have warm autumns, but when winter finally hits, it is with a bang. I believe that we will probably meet winter in about two weeks' time, and then it is just cold and dry. Although the Cape has winter rainfall, on the Highveld we have summer rainfall. Winters on the Highveld are harsh and bleak. Not that it bothers me. I love winter, because there is nothing I like more than to build myself a nest with blankets, curl myself up in it and keep busy with my hobbies...
