Trollius europaeus, sometimes known as globeflower. It is commonly found in both Europe and Western Asia. I find it every once in a while here in Norway, but I've also seen lots of it in the Swiss alps. It's very beautiful when it's flowering, but sadly it does not flower for too long at a time.
