'Warm Rust'

One hundred, two hundred years old metal window cover? Not sure how old but it is very old, for sure. Look how the elements ate it, made holes in it and covered the entire surface with rust. The warm afternoon sun rays, coloured in orange, give yet another dimension to this photograph.

The choice of colours enhances the warm feeling, as only orange yellow and red tones are used. Not sure if you can feel that little bit of magenta on the light parts of the metal plate. The light s pointed to the window. This effect is done by shading the edges with a bit of finesse. Notice the strong shade in the top right corner. It carries a lot of mood by itself.

Do you see the drape or something of the kind peeking from the bottom right of the window?

Enjoy! :)

What an amazing image, @velimir! It is a living picture of the passage of time. While it may have been the weather that caused the deterioration, the window has a very old structure. I find the colors visually pleasing, that ochre tone, sepia, that old images have. It calls my attention how one part is more deteriorated than the other. Could it be because the sun, the saltpetre, reaches you there more? I already missed your work! Nice Sunday.

Oh I appreciate this work you shared with us. this is really a gold i will definitely say it. because a many long years ago art is still likable and it is unique treasure. Thanks for sharing

The image is damn attractive moreover the detailed description enhanced it more. I loved the way you described it!

You have captured an excellent rustic looking image which captures our attention and forces us to ask question about the previous occupants.

Simple but strong, good work you have a new follower

That window looks very rusty is impressive that being so rusty has not fallen alone, in any way the photo is fantastic because of the description and effects you've given! Thank you for sharing it with us :)

Great work, @velimir! I found this extremely inspiring... When I look at the metal turning into dust, I can't help it, but think about are own existence. True art!

The rusty window shows that old is gold and @velimir your camera made this gold more precious. You really are a professional photographer.

Where you found this metal? 100 to 200 years old dam! Looks like some kind of ship's window.
