'POW'

This is a memento for all people during the human history all over the world who ended up like prisoners of war. War, one of the stupidest inventions of humankind and, unfortunately, the major spiritus movens of progress always leaves people in tears, sadness and utter shame while others lose far more. Prisoners of war are often overlooked and forgotten, not to mention neglected, as soon as the war is over. Their fates often remain unsolved while some return to their homelands years, even decades after the conflict. Another great shame of human race.

The image reflects the truth behind it. The colours are bare, strong contrast intensifies the horror. One lone guard tower tells more than a story. The invisible sun shines over the empty white sky. Darkened edges stream attention and close the composition, almost invoking claustrophobia.

I will not say 'Enjoy' this time.

It's certainly a pretty significant image on its own, @velimir! It looks like the end of a story, when the take closes and credits start to come out! The bad thing is that war is always a threat, the letter under the sleeve, the solution of those who hate humanity. In the end no one wins. I embrace you!

This photograph reflects loneliness, abandonment and sadness. The shades of the sky are in agreement with this feeling, it seems that this sky knows that it is witness of the pain that a war leaves marked. A war is the worst thing that can happen to humanity, I wonder how much hatred can harbor a human being who considers a war as a solution? Greetings, @velimir.

Impressive photo, @velimir. Transmit that feeling of aridity and absence that you suggest, even more, I would say, a feeling of paralysis. I don't know if it's the border of a place where one of the Nazi concentration camps worked, or another space produced by the horror of war. Whatever it is, your photograph also confronts us with the terrible human dryness, desolation and blindness (the title is very appropriate "Pow") that every war manifests and leaves behind. Apart from the effect of the general atmosphere (on its edges) occupied by darkness, I find very effective that zenithal light (if the term fits) that I perceive as if it were the annihilating explosion of a bomb, or the condemnatory light of the apocalyptic exterminating angel, which radiates from ourselves. Thank you. Greetings.

Great Job I Will Learning from You :)

Love the message, and image. its just like that, claustrophobic
