Thanks @victorbz for the film shot. Many years ago I used to shoot 2 1/4 square or 6x6 film, mostly black and white, which I developed myself. I only made contact prints as I didn't have a 6x6 enlarger, but they had a look about them that 35 mm could never produce.
Of course times move on and my Lubitel 2 got packed away and subsequently disappeared when I was abroad.
I have often toyed with taking 6x6 up again, but it seems a lot of work now. Also getting a camera with a decent lens at a reasonable price is quite difficult. So for the moment I stick with digital and do stitching in photoshop.
But that's also time consuming as you probably need 9 overlapping photos with a longish lens to do it.

thank you for taking a look and such kind words !
as you can see i took this one with less than $40 plastic Holga camera exposing 120 film. the optic of this camera is the most simple - there even more cheap plastic lenses and there are glass lenses with the price that i said before.
for the better and more sharp results i use Hasselblad 500cm or Fujifilm GA645 - both medium format (120) of course much more expensive but not too much. i also learned to develop bw at home and i scan my film by myself too. i love the process by itself - its don't replace the needs of digital camera that i still use for works by requests :-)

Definitely I see the ability to scan negatives and do post- processing in software as a major positive point.
I have checked out several medium format cameras and may buy soon. And I would also have to buy again all my developing equipment.
I lived for many years in Cairo. And there it was increasingly difficult to buy film of any type. And it could only be developed by bringing back to UK. A major disincentive.
At the moment I have a roll of film in my Leica M3 which would be my trip back in time.
I will keep my eyes open for a medium format camera - but I see with Fuji and Hasselblad having made "medium format" digital it may be just a matter of time before this becomes the professional and serious amateur choice.
