Traveling with a camera - Vladeasa, Romania

Hello steemit world!

I thought I'll start off my activity here by showcasing some of the things I enjoy doing the most when I have a few days off. I'm talking about taking amateurish photos, hiking and sightseeing.

Because this three go really well together I'll talk about a special place I visited again pretty recently (... yesterday).

It's the Vladeasa Massif (not a small place), which is part of the Carpathian Mountains on the Romanian territory and which I regularly visit for like 10 years now - ever since my parents built a small camping site right at the base of the mountain.

When we usually go on walks like this, it's not me who enjoys them the most, but our not even 1 year old German Shepherd, Rex (who can be seen ferociously charging me in the photo bellow).

I usually visit this place on summer, because during the winter it's not that accessible and you'll have to be lucky to get some good weather.

But since there is a mountain cabin near the top, they usually try to maintain a path so they can assure the provisioning.

So we walked for a few hours trough some knee deep snow, made some new friends along the way ...

... admired the landscape and how everything looks nice and snowy ...

... and finally arrived at the Vladeasa Cabin.

To be honest, it's a remote, old (80 years old) wood cabin, so you should not go there with high hopes.
But you can expect to meet nice people with whom you can exchange a word or two, share your experience and drink something hot or some alcohol (to keep yourself warm of course).

After we just chill in the sun, take some selfies and shoot some more pictures it's time to go back.
