From my photo archives: National Air and Space Museum

I came across some photos I took during a trip to Washington, DC, in 1983, and thought I'd share them here. As far as I can remember, I took these with my Nikon FM camera shooting Tri-X film. At the time, I had only two lenses, a Vivitar 35 mm and a Vivitar 135 mm, so you can probably guess which lens was used for each shot.

These were scanned from prints at 600 pixels resolution with minimal post-processing. Hope you like them.

Nice! My little brother is a huge Nikon fan and I love playing with my old Olympus cameras. I miss the availability of film processing. I still love to shoot film occasionally.

Cheers and thank you,

Sean @seanengman

Thanks for the comments! I still have a Nikon FM, but rarely use it now. My current camera is a D3300.

Yeah, I totally get that sentiment. I have a whole collection of Olympus OM series cameras... and I rarely if ever use them. I also have cases of film. Oh well, the camera that you use most is the one that is with you all the time. That just so happens to be my phone.

Cheers,

Sean

My phone camera does a pretty good job most of the time. I'm not someone who carries his DSLR around all the time, or I'd probably have thousands more photos to sort through. ;-)

I love my phone camera just because I have it with me all the time. But I really want to pick up a decent DSLR. Even the older DSLRs are pretty dang impressive and are a great bargain.

I got a good deal on mine, because it was right at the time Nikon introduced the D3500 and D5500 models. They have built-in wifi and a few other features, but I went with the less expensive D3300.

I'm too poor for those newer cameras. I was pondering a D3300 but at the time they were still pretty expensive. I'll probably hit craigslist for one closer to Christmas.

Good pictures!

love it

Nice post. Followed you.

Thanks, and I followed back. :)
