Meiji was a japanese emperor who marked the country by the modernization and westernization. The period of his reign was also quite long, 1868-1912.
Meiji means enlightened rule and I didn't wanted to miss this temporary exposition in Paris: http://www.guimet.fr/event/meiji-1868-1912/
The expo shows different aspects of Japan's modernization and the internationalization of the artistic production through different techniques. I wanted to show to you some photos that I took walking amid all that splendor that came to us a long way from the past and for sure will last longer than the people visiting.
