The beautiful photo above was taken but my daughter @sumareonlyblue

She is an aspiring photographer in her young age. She enjoys capturing the beauty of nature. Almost all of her photographs are taken on our 200+ acre farm.

She is young enough that she doesn't quite understand the great platform that Steemit has provided for her to get valuable feedback on her photographs. So I'm asking for your help.....

Please give her your thoughts on this photograph. They can be positive, negative or simply suggestions for improvement.

My "wish" is that she will see what a wonderful opportunity this community affords her and she will start posting her pictures on her own.

Thank you!!

I think this photo is great. What I love about it is the fact that by utilizing the negative space of this photo (i.e. the background that's not in focus) she was really able to highlight the dandelion puff itself. I would tell her that one of the tricks for capturing images (at least in film/television) is to pay attention to all that you have in frame and all that you leave out of frame. If she had placed the puff in the middle of the photo the entire feeling would have been different - not necessarily making it better or worse, just different. While she's learning, she should play around with placement and see if she can see the difference. She's got a great eye. She should keep shooting!

I think it is perfect! I really look forward to seeing more pictures.

Interesting post.

@sumareonlyblue is a super talented young photographer. I think Steemit is a great forum to receive feedback and support as she explores the world around her.

On the photograph - The way that the dandelion bridges over the horizon (just barely) feels like it's part of the sunset itself. Sunsets are fleeting, temporary, cyclical and theatrical. The dandelion seedlings build into that same theme. Once that intense moment passes... the warm sunset dissolves / the seedlings are swept away by the wind... it's all gone and the process repeats. I love that contrast, compositionally as well as thematically.

Photography is a great medium to tell stories / pull stories out of other people. Keep exploring, sharing and discovering.

A big yes to the sunset metaphor! Those fragile, fleeting "rays" of the puff right above the horizon work so well. So what would I change? Maybe a bit more definition in the large swath of foreground. Not much, though. You wouldn't want to detract from the center of the action above. Keep up the great work, @sumareonlyblue!

Very nice photo. Nice job @sumareonlyblue. You must be very proud @wickedcute. :)
