National Railway Museum - Stationary Winding Engine, 1833

The museum has a vast collection of engines, carriages, and assorted rail paraphernalia. Last time I was here I focused on the main areas and the trains, this time, as I only had an hour, I wandered around some of the extra bits. This was designed by Robert Stephenson and was used to haul coal trains up the incline on the Leicester & Swannington railway to get coal ot Leicester.
