W.W.'s Digital Photography :: Unique Sunset Textures

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

I remember this scene like it was yesterday. But as it turns out, it was nearly 6 years ago. This was the field across from our apartment, on the other side of which is a busy highway (see the cars). There seemed to be 2 layers to this setup. The darker, much lower cloud in the front, which still had hints of purple linger around the edges. And then much higher up, a much smoother cloud blankets the sky, still very much in line of sight with the sun's rays, reflecting a beautiful peach-orange tone back down to us. In combination with the clear blue sky at the top of the frame and the green grass at the bottom, there seems to be a wide range of the spectrum presented here.

its great photo.
why you didnt use lower ISO and higher time of lighting?

However, I will say that 400ISO isn't too bad, actually. On those cameras, the noise didn't start getting annoying (in my opinion) until above 800. Also, the fast shutter speed wasn't terribly necessary because I was using such a wide lens. The rule of thumb is to have a shutter speed at or higher than the number of your focal length, which, as a sidenote, is particularly handy when you're in the 100-400 telephoto range. I have a 70-200mm f/2.8 Sigma lens that I love using, and when I use it at 200mm, I try to have at least a 1/200th second shutter speed.

Great camera and lens!!
How can you lift that lens?! 😁
I prefer prime lens

This photo is almost 6 years old. I honestly don't remember.
I believe it was because I wanted the f/8.0 aperture, but I don't know for sure now.

This image is precious dear friend @winstonwolfe, congratulations for the beautiful capture, it seems the sky of my city.

so my son Ivan used for the occasion

Wow...so alive looking especially the front large mass of cloud looks like an old wise man blowing wind against the wind towards the sunset.
Do you see the old wise man?
Nice capture.

Ha! I never noticed that before, but you're right. I see his profile.

This is the real reason I like Art photography is the viewer sees what he or she sees to be unique and appreciated the beauty as one wants to see.

Sunset😍

Im always facinated by sunsets, eversince I was a kid. I hope I could take those kind of shots too.

Nice photography..

6 years ago definitely it is mixed with nostalgia thats what make it prettier
