These are really amazing photos @worldcapture. You truly captured the essence of the people there. I have been to Bangkok but not to the Chinatown specifically. But I can see Bangkok and at some parts maybe even Hong Kong in your photos :) It is interesting that there was a bus with South Korea flag on it. The hostel is really cheap isn't it? And wow, you walked 20+km during the trip, going around taking photos? That is quite an achievement! The best part I think, it doesn't really feel like 20KM, right? :) Thank you so much for sharing them with us. I enjoyed reading your post and viewing your photos.

Hey @marblely :)) Thank you very much for your comment. Well yeah , the hostel was super cheap - it was like 8$ incl. breakfast :D Well no it does not feel that much when u just walk around and enjoy what you are doing :) Hope you have a great day !

Oo including breakfast is a really good deal. I know things in Thailand can be cheap if you look around for them and you found one :) Did you try the Thai massage when you were there? I heard it can be really cheap too but scary because they do the breaking-bone-action type of massage :D

howdy there from Texas worldcapture! wow that was some night you had! you walked 20 km? and spent all those hours out in the streets, that's some dedication and very impressive.
Even though this was exhausting are you going to do it again? because I think this could be additive!

Yeah it was actually more than 20 Km walking through the streets :D But i enjoyed every second of it as it felt like christmas as a child, ha! I will do it again, 100% . I actually can not wait for my next attempt to go out and find interesting people to shoot pictures off ! :) Hope u have a great day!

@worldcapture Spectacula work. The shots in the middle of the rain were extremely spectacular. The photos in the rain look so magical and special. Great job capturing in the streets of Bangkok. Seeing every detail you captured from people's daily routines at their daily dinners, walking, talking is fantastic. Spectacular result. On good time. A big greeting.

To go back to Hostel is really brave ;-)

But your long walk was really worth it 👍 , because we had never saw this super awesome pictures! I want it so hard to fly on myself to asia and visit also bangkok. (some friends had been there) A massiv and exciting city. Great that you bring us here on steemit some impressions 😃.

Wow, what a wonderful street life, Chris. By looking your photos, you really bring the beautiful Bangkok city to life. The Bangkok china town shot and the rain, it really amazing. You are talented to capture story into a photo. By just viewing your photos, it can tell a thousand stories behind each scenes. and as if i was part of them. Do you ever enter any photography competitions? If no, maybe you can consider it in near future.

I thought it is other way round, people tend to be shy when you try to click photos of them.

I feel 100% confident walking around and taking pictures of people now

I really liked the photos, a great compilation of some amazing clicks.

I was in Bangkok for the last couple of years, but never got to Chinatown. I'm in a big storm in Kuala Lumpur now while looking at your photos. It is much the same, but very different. I used to live in Southern California and I am always amazed by how life goes on in these storms. Back in Cali, no one would try to move unless they were in a car.

I love your monk shot and the black and whites. I too have a lot of trouble shooting people and pretty much don't do it. I think you have a knack for it. Maybe I will remember your example and get some courage.

I could see some improvements on the last photos compared to the first few ones. The last ones had people staring back at you while the first few shots were people unaware of you. Maybe confidence to go overt on taking a photo of them?

My goal for the evening/night was to find interesting spots & people in this area and to develop my skill in Streetphotography . The thing which already changed since my first 3 attempts in the past months is, that I feel 100% confident walking around and taking pictures of people now. I remember the first time I was really shy and had to force myself to just click :)).

is pure gold. Every aspiring street photographer should pay attention to this passage. You have overcome a mental barrier, good work! The photos are pretty good too. A trick I use is finding a spot that makes a good composition: a colorful doorway, an area with great light and lines....whatever. Then I park and wait for something to happen, to activate the space. Then I make the image. It's a trick I learned reading writings by Henri Cartier Bresson. Keep it up man!

Getting those shots must have been quite an adventure, I am sure the result you got paid off for all the stress you had to go through...

I love the photos, they are incredibly beautiful, especially those you took while it was raining. They are pretty unique, I haven't seen much of street photography that captures all that goes on while its raining....

Hope you got the much needed sleep when you got home?

Well it was for sure an adventure which i enjoyed a lot and want to repeat as soon as i can :) Oh, and yes , haha :D I did get some sleep. A few hours before i went back to my current home and after that i spend around 4-5h with editing and about 3h for writing the blog post. I was pretty exhausted after I puplished it to be honest.. But I enjoyed doing it :)) Hope you have a great day!

I take it you are liking the new camera? Those are some great shots, I think they got better as you went along. The part I really liked is that they are just "real" no fake poses no performances, just real people frozen in time. BTW what kind of settings were you using (or filter) that allowed you to take such great shots at night while your subjects were moving? Action shots at night never seem to go well for me.

I believe you captured the street life of Bangkok very well with these pictures. Although I've never been there myself, I can only judge from what I've seen or read about Bangkok. It always seems to be very busy there.. You must have been exhausted after a 20 km walk, impressive haha ! Thanks for sharing this great post!

Do you have any experience taking photos to people and they got angry with you, maybe by not asking permission of taking photos to them Chris?
I hope it never happen.
I guess you got short in your time because you haven't taken photos during daytime?
Oh! Maybe it will on your Report 2.

Hey @Ronel :) Thank you for taking the time to comment on my Report! Well so far I never got any Problems. I think one important thing is to be confident while shooting on the street. Always smile to the people and dont give them an strange feeling. And also be quick, dont take to many picutres of the same person. And if ever someone comes up to me and confront me i will just delete the Picture and apologize to them.

Well i unfortunately do not have any daytime photos from the Weekend, as I wanted to focus on night photography this time :)
