Today, we'll be exploring the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris California. I drove up there in July 2005. It's another train museum, similar to the one we saw previously in Campo. They don't have nearly as many trains as the one in Campo. But the ones they do have are very nice. There's also lots of street-car-type trains that used to run around in SoCal cities, before buses took over most of that work.
Here's one of those old street cars from the Los Angeles Railway.
You can actually buy tickets and take this train for a short ride out into the country and back. It was cheap enough, so I did it.
While on the ride, I saw this cool owl sitting on an old concrete! Love owls!
I like that the train has a vagrant scoop.
Nice owl!
