Newspaper clipping, circa late 1940s. 13-year-old schoolboy Clark Trammell at the Cascade Plunge in Birmingham, Alabama. Interesting history of this now-defunct swimming pool: https://www.bhamwiki.com/w/Cascade_Plunge

My first wife Judi used to swim there as a little girl - she grew up about six blocks away from East Lake in B'ham, went to Woodlawn HS. I must've driven by it a hundred times without ever going - it was kind of run down and disreputable by the 80's.

No doubt. But how cool it must've been in it's hey-day. The happenin' place to be. In Birmingham, at least... :-)
