The Emu in the Sky at Karlu Karlu (Devils Marbles) Australia

This is an image of the Emu as seen by the indigenous Australians in their Dreamtime stories.
Unlike western systems where the constellation of stars is important in this example it is the dark spaces between the stars that indicate the image. The emus head is towards the top right of the image and it is stretched out towards the lower left part of the frame with its legs together. Karlu Karlu is a sacred space situated in the Northern Territory of Australia several hundred kilometers from any but a few small towns.
