The Roaches can be found in the heart of The Peak district. A large formation of sandstone rocks, which rise steeply to 505 metres. On clear days like today, the views from this iconic ridge are breath taking
Thought to be home to a small colony of wallabies, the roaches are truly an inspirational place to spend a day hiking.
Gone are the days where you see the wallabies hoping amongst the heather on the hilltops. They are a lot more shy than when I was a child. Thats if there are even any of the gorgeous animals left on the roaches. But as a sat watching the world go by today, I was in awe of the natural beauty of these prominant sanstone rocks.
All of the photographs are mine and just wanted to share them with you. Xxx
