MARATHON!!! The important thing is not to win but to take part.

What makes a human run? Why is he doing this? Maybe running helps him to stay alone with himself and think about problems, and maybe, on the contrary, run and do not think about anything? Maybe he wants to run away from his problems? Or maybe it's just a primitive instinct of a hunter and self-preservation?

In any case, it is good for health. So we're running. And, in an organized way. On Sunday more than 10 thousand people took part in the Kharkov marathon, representatives of 25 countries - Germany, Poland, Japan, China, Kenya, Australia, USA, etc.

Runners and professionals ran a distance of 4.2 km, 10 km, 42 km. The annual Kharkov International Marathon is included in the Book of Records of Ukraine as the most massive marathon in terms of the number of registered participants. The route through which the marathon passes is laid along the central streets of Kharkov and covers the main sights of the city.

The record set at the longest distance Kenyan runner Serem Benjamin Kiprop. He ran 42 km in 2 hours 18 minutes and 13 seconds, beating the previous marathon record - 2 hours 23 minutes 1 second.

I think, in this case, running is a way of uniting people, of communicating, of sharing their experience and knowledge!

Marathon teaches us a lot. for example, to be together, to overcome difficulties together, to teach peace and love.

thank you very much for a good comment! Our posts are also one way to communicate.

I ran in the NY marathon a few years ago, it was by far the most challenging thing I’ve ever done.

it's great! You have done this and it is already your victory.

I thought the important thing was to win if you can? I mean, who the hell would want to finish second!!! ;) Did you actually do the run or were you the lucky one with the camera, @zvezda51?

I, myself, used to run quarter marathons as a kid which got worse as I got older (as I trained less due to lazyness / complacency). I'd love to do a London marathon but have just missed this year's. Either way, I've only quit smoking 6 months ago and put on a fair few pounds so it's for the best, I guess, if I wait at least another twelve months - getting super-fit in the process (I'm back at the gym).

Of course, if I never do a marathon, I doubt I'd be too upset. :D

Ps. Joking aside, I totally agree with your title.

You have a great willpower, so you will succeed! I also recently started to play sports . I made a post about it. So I understand how hard it is. And I support you!

I myself did not run. My niece took part in the marathon. She studies at a medical college, and her participation was compulsory.

the nice post!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it.
