"The Forgotten Doll"

Emily loved dolls. As a child, she had a vast collection of dolls, each one more unique and beautiful than the last. But her favorite doll was a porcelain beauty with curly brown hair and a pink dress. She had found it at a garage sale when she was six years old, and ever since then, it had been her constant companion.

Years went by, and Emily grew up. She no longer played with dolls, but she couldn't bring herself to throw them away. Instead, she packed them away in a box and left them in the attic, where they collected dust.

One day, Emily was cleaning out her attic when she stumbled upon the box of dolls. She lifted the lid and peered inside, and there it was - her beloved porcelain doll, still dressed in pink and still as beautiful as ever.

Emily took the doll downstairs and placed it on a shelf in her bedroom. But that night, something strange happened. Emily woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of something moving in her room. She looked over at the shelf, and there was the doll, its head turned to face her.

Emily was spooked, but she brushed it off and went back to sleep. But the next night, the same thing happened. Emily woke up to find the doll had moved from the shelf to her bedside table.

This went on for weeks. Every night, Emily would wake up to find the doll had moved closer to her. And every night, the doll's expression grew more and more menacing.

Emily tried to get rid of the doll, but it always found its way back to her room. She tried locking it away in a closet, but it would always appear back on her bedside table.

Finally, Emily couldn't take it anymore. She went to a local psychic, who told her that the doll was possessed by a vengeful spirit. The only way to get rid of it, the psychic said, was to burn it.

Emily hesitated, but the thought of the doll's menacing expression staring at her in the darkness was too much to bear. She took the doll outside, doused it in gasoline, and set it on fire.

As the flames engulfed the doll, Emily felt a sense of relief. But then, she heard a voice whisper in her ear. "You forgot about me," it said.

Emily turned around, and there, standing behind her, was her old teddy bear - its button eyes gleaming in the darkness
