That is so beautifully presented! I'm of Russian heritage and have visited Russia but haven't cooked any Russian food. This photo is motivating me to try. On a related note, there is for some reason a fancy Russian restaurant in Rehoboth Beach Delaware. Last weekend I was there and had a flight of vodka and a bowl of borscht. The vodka was forgettable but it was very cold outside and the borscht went down warm and well.

I do not like vodka, but borsch is not bad, although
Solyanka is better for me. At the present time Russian cuisine is rustic in that it is a fusion of many cuisines of the world
