Macrothursday: The injured butterfly

in photomag •  6 years ago

I took this picture a couple years ago in the summer.

There were many butterflies on those days. And they spent much time on the flowers in my parents garden

Surprisingly, for a couple of weeks they were for some reason not shy at all and it was easy enough to take pictures of them.

This allowed me to take close-up shots even with my kit lens.

Even now, two years later, I wonder how it happened. Because last summer and this summer there are not so many butterflies in the garden. And those butterflies that are, are very timid and it is very difficult to sneak up to take a close-up picture.

I recommend to open the photo in a separate tab to appreciate it .

I wonder. Perhaps moved on? One can only hope that they just changed locations for the next generation and not that they are no more. Beautiful shot.

It's all in the weather. Two years ago it was a very warm summer, so there were a lot of butterflies. 8)
