This past Sunday, we continued our scouting for the upcoming Photo Tour to China.
The initial plan was to sleep in and just have a slow day, but by lunchtime, we realised the day is too slow...
And we need to finalise our plans for the upcoming tour, we have just about 7 months left!
Xiaoyi searched on her WeChat friend galleries and show me anything that looked interesting that I have not seen before.
When she showed me Nan Ao Yueliang Wan I immediately saw the potential. Her further research showed that we can use Bus E11 (the bus stop is about 200 meters from our house) to get there.
We quickly grab our things and went to the bus stop. As we approached the bus stop we saw Bus E11 leaving the bus stop - just too late.
We had to wait 25 minutes for the next bus!
I did not realise how far Nan Ao Yueliang Wan is, as it is supposed to still be part of the greater Shenzhen. It took us 90 minutes to get there. We arrived just before 5 pm and sunset are at 5:45 pm. Not much time for our scouting...
The place was much better than what we saw in her friend galleries. While walking to get a good vantage point for a nice sunset photo we came across a small fishermen settlement where they dry fish in the sun. As the sun was busy setting, they were busy packing the racks of fish on stacks to be stowed away for the night.
I could not spend too much time with them but realised that this area alone could easily be a full afternoon photography experience.
Just past them, I found some rocks in the water, and by the time I found my composition, the sun made its final appearance from behind the clouds before setting on the horizon.
