This is Brookfield Place in Lower Manhattan on the West Side, it is a shopping centre with a few Restaurants, and is cool both fromthe outside as you can see it in the centre here with the glass dome, it really stands out.

But lets head inside to find the Palm Trees I mention in the title

And here we are inside the building and you can see the top of the palm trees in this shot, and also the cool lighting they have, at the time I took this shot a Christmas song was playing and the lights were pulsing and moving with the beat of the music it was quite cool to see but of course a photo doesn't give the feel of that

And this is from another angle after the music and light show finished and the lights switched to a stady green, as you can see its a pretty cool looking place inside as well as out, and sorry for those who were thinking i may have ventured away from festive in this post, you can also see they have quite a few trees spread around this area.

And finishing off with a shot of one of the Christmas trees

This looks really festive, lovely photos! I was curious when I read Palm trees in NYC, they grow profusely here in our sub tropical region ;) We have different species growing around our pool. It's been terribly horribly hot here, weird to think it's freezing on the other side of the world!

Yeah I think it is suite unique and so cool that they have them, as your battling the heat were battling the world :)

it is quite unique for sure I love this building and try to swing by it a couple of times a year

Beautiful.
I wish I were in the US at this holiday season. Will definitely be there this time next year.

I think holiday season is the best time to visit NYC except of course unless your not used to the cold as some streets are like wind tunnels and it can get so cold

Howdy tonight JJ! my gosh that place is cool..those floors are magnificent but then all the glass, lighting and palm trees are amazing too! Great job.

Yes indeed it’s like an oasis in the concrete jungle quite unique and I love visiting it

I think I like the lanterns/lighting more than the palms ha ha

Yes when the lights are colored as in these shits they do steal the attention away from the palm trees 🌴 for sure
I love this place it’s like an oasis in the city

Having lived in the tropics for over 10 years, I find myself intrigued with palm trees in non- tropical climates. What a sight!

As always you are sharing great photos. Keep it up!

Thanks this place is like an oasis in the concrete jungle so always a pleasure to visit

ahhh, a bit of the tropics in NYC? Love that beautiful Christmas tree @tatoodjay. You certainly cover a lot of territory on your walks! Well done, that is great especially during the holidays! :)

Ohh ye sit is a nice touch I love this place and swing by it every few months on a morning walk, but even more so at this time of year, this week has been to cold for to many walks with it being to cold, but am hoping for a nicer morning tomorrow to get a walk in

Very beautiful and stunning photos here.

Thanks kindly Have a great day

It's probably good you can't enter the contest officially, good for the other entrants that is :) I love the exterior shot as I'm always intrigued with reflective photos on glass as you get to see both stories in front of the camera as well as behind, so it's like getting to peek over the shoulder of the photographer.

NYC sure knows how to do it up with glitz, don't they? This looks an amazing place to wander about.

Thanks but there are some really nice entries that I would pick over mine anyway
I to live the duality in the windows in some shits with the city reflections but in some it hides the beauty of the windows

An amazing glass enclosure, I guess the may as well have some tropical trees :) That floor has quite the shine to it. I love the big city buildings, so grand.

it is such a beautiful building inside and out, the palm trees fit well with the dome for sure, and that reflective floor i have to love I wonder how many times a day they polish it

Very cool! Love this place and do you ever go home? Hahaha I love the summer concerts here and miss this place a lot too! Thanks for always showing all the places frequented hahahah

LOL Ohh yes I do, I did a week of a lot of morning walks, glad I did this week was to cold for morning walks so far, and it is my pleasure to share these :)

There is always so much to see in NYC and I love exploring it
Thanks for your visit

Anytime! It is such a pleasure to stop by :-)

Cheers :)

This is really cool. Are the palm tress real or fake? That would be my biggest question :)

They look real to me fromthe times i have visited there, but in NYC you can never be sure

What a beautiful place.
Love the lights changing different color to the beat of the music and I love the Christmas tree.

It was so cool to see and experience I do love this place especially at this time of year

That's a cool structure. The light fixtures are pretty fascinating, too. They almost look like sun lamps.

Thanks for your visit and yes indeed those lamps are quite unique with the palm trees I wonder if they are some sort of sun lamp

wow, its really colorful lights with Palm trees in NYC. Good job

Ohh yes so colorful and bright and outside it was quite a gloomy day so in total contrast

Wow and wow again! Some stunning shots here JJ. Blessings!

Thanks Its such a cool place i love visiting there any time of year but especially at htis time witht he Christmas trees

What a totally awesome place!

It really is I love swinging by there at least a couple of times a year, mostly in Winter to head inside to the warmth LOL

I can imagine :)

Nice work Jay, I had no idea that you could find palm trees in New York , but it doesn't surprise me now that I see the photos, that is one big open area inside that building. Thanks for the shots.

thanks kindly, I love this building it creates an oasis in the city at any time of year but especially in the cold and grey months of winter
